Grammy-nominated artists Les Nubians perform in concert on the Walt Whitman court in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn, the highlight of the Museum of Contemporary African Diaspora Arts’ Soul of Brooklyn Week. Organizers said they're trying to tackle a stubborn divide in the neighborhood, known for producing top writers and musicians. According to a New York Daily News article, Whitman tenant association president Isabella Lee said she was excited to help organize the concert. "There's a lot going on in this area, but it leaves out residents of the development," she said. "I wish they could come every month. I would love to see more of it."
